The 0.6-mile trek to the pond is quite manageable; yet, it might be jam-packed during weekends because it is an easy journey suitable even for novices. There is also a 2.5-mile loop trail at the Preserve that is for the more adept hikers who will get to the top of the canyon where there are fabulous hill country vistas.

Reimers Ranch Park plays host to camping, hiking/focused trails, fishing, and rock climbing sections, besides others on its vast tracts of nearly 2,427acres of area. It offers more than 18 miles of easy to intermediate grade riding with fantastic views of Pedernales river and the wonderful land that slopes down from it. The most used trail is the Turkey Loop Trail trail – it is a 5 mile circular trail which goes around the park’s perimeter and offers a spectacular view of the river and such interesting geological features of the park as rocks and so on.

  1. Milton Reimers Ranch – Multi-Use Trails

 

For those hiker enthusiasts who like to hike harder trails and take in the rugged feel of the hike then the Multi-Use Trails in Milton Reimers Ranch are for you. These have facilities of more than 18 miles of quite rough and steep trekking tracks suitable for many hikers who would wish to have a taste of the wild. Most of it pass through lush green belts, open meadows and runs alongside the Pedernales River offering marvelous views of the rock formation.
